Re : I'd push twice as hard for......

<t>There isn't much I'm craving that I just don't send DH out for, although I wish he were faster.<br/> The only thing I can really think of, and this is going to sound weird, is a regular food tray from the hospital. I like the hospital food but they always put me on a diabetic diet and I swear the...

What can help swelling?

<t>I'm assuming it is because I already have bad kidneys because my pressures are great but last night I went to bed with pitting edema. We're talking not being able to walk because my legs hurt and a dent (from me poking my leg) that didn't go away for over 5 minutes. I figured I'd go to bed and it...

hydration and BP's question

<t>First, a little background.<br/> <br/> I developed a nasty stomach flu over the weekend and became dehydrated from vomiting. I finally went into L&D when I began having menstrual cramps and contractions.<br/> <br/> When I got to the hospital, my BP was 132/84. I did take my BP meds but wasn't...

Re : A decision to make

<t>I'd go for it too. At this point, I would think it better to have the baby while all is still ok rather than wait and there possibly be an emergency. For those of us who have had pre-e more than once, we know it can come on fast and hard without any warning. 37 weeks is great and I'd be all for i...

<r>Just thought I'd add this. Re : Could use some good vibes

<t>Thanks everyone.<br/> We already know there is a problem. Both the Dr. and I could clearly see it on the ultrasound. Just hoping the echo will show it as a small problem that can close on its own verses a big problem that would need heart surgery.<br/> <br/> BP's are much better today. 130/80 but...

Could use some good vibes

<t>Well, I went for my 20 week anatomy scan today. First the good news. Baby is doing good. Growing well. Heartrate was 150. The new hospital that they are moving to in a week, will have a 3d/4d machine and the nurse said she would make sure the next time I get a scan, that she would do a 3d pic for...

Re : Norvasc and ?? during pregnancy

I don't know about taking it with anything else but I know when my pressures began to rise around 15 weeks, they put me on norvasc. They are just changing me now to labetelol (which I too think is pretty ineffective) because they think the norvasc was giving me headaches.

UTI's and high BP

<t>I know a UTI can cause protein in the urine but can it also cause high BP's? I ask because I believe I have a UTI. I don't have any symptoms until it is up in my kidneys and my back has been killing and I've had some spotting. My BP's have also gone up though. Just wondering if there is a correla...

Re : Misconceptions

<t>Here's some I've heard just in this pregnancy, most from the first OB I saw<br/> -Having diabetes isn't a risk factor for pre-e<br/> -Having 5 kids with pre-e doesn't increase my odds that I will get it again<br/> -Blood pressures, if high, should be taken again while laying down and that pressur...
