Re : 1st OB appt. - 10w6d

Sounds like a great appointment! Hope that all there will be in your future :) I know, I LOVE this advanced maternal age thing (well, I am at least since I'm 36) :)

<t>Motherbear ...<br/> <br/> I didn't know of an adrenal/hypothyroid link. I find that very interesting and am going to have to look into that. My MFM has suggested Zoloft over the phone and I'm going in on Thursday to meet with him. I'll have to ask about the altenolol, as well.<br/> <br/> My OB do...

Re : 21 Week Check up

<t>It certainly cannot hurt to call and ask them if you can do the test sooner. How do you feel otherwise?<br/> <br/> I agree with what Sonja said about the protein dip tests. I know that one of the days I was admitted for 24 hr observation with my last pregnancy I dipped a 3+ in the OB office and a...

Re : Your opinions on Amnio at 37 weeks?

FWIW, my second son was delivered at 37 weeks by c-section with no steroid injections and did just great with his breathing. His only problem was being able to hold his temp (he was a little small at 5 lb 11 oz), but he roomed in with me the whole time.

How do you get rid of "white coat syndrome"??

<t>I know my BP cuff for home is correct (it has correlated with both doctor's appointments I've had this week - hematologist and OB) and my BP readings at home and work (on 100mg Labetalol twice a day) are good and run about 120/70. However, at both of my doctor's appointments this week, my BP was ...

Re : New here - some questions! :)

<t>I would actually see if you can get in with your doctor sooner if you think it would help your anxiety. I second buying a BP monitor for home. I just bought a new one at Walgreens for $60 and it correlates very well with my OB's nurse taking my BP manually. It's piece of mind for me about how I'm...

<t>Isn't there a guide line on what the circumference of what your arm needs to be for each of the different size cuffs?<br/> <br/> I remember when I went to the ER last week for my panic attack, they initially took my BP with a large cuff and then said that was the wrong size and put the standard s...

Re : Magnesium..Additional question

<t>All hospitals might be a bit different on their policy regarding mag and a cathetar. For my first pregnancy, I had both. For my second, they put me on mag, but no catheter with very strict instructions that I had to chart everything I drank, the amount I peed, and my husband had to help me walk t...

Re : My good update- 32 weeks

<t>That's a great update! Glad both you and baby are doing well. I know hospital bedrest kind of stinks, but you sound like you are doing okay with it and I know there's some relief to being in a place where they'll take care of you. Rest, rest, rest because before you know it 4 weeks will have gone...
