Re : PCOS and Pre-eclampsia

<t>Hi<br/> I have PCOS and also a luteal phase defect. I ovulate regularly but around cd 20 and af arrives cd 28-30. Both times I have conceived it has been on non-medicated cycles! With the luteal phase defect they can prescribe progesterone to help if needed. I had PE with my first, and miscarried...

Due date tomorrow

<t>My 2nd baby would have been 'officially' due tomorrow although realistically would have been born by 38wks due to gestational diabetes or earlier due to pre-eclampsia. It is the day that really marks the end of my dreams of being a mummy. Healthwise it is not sensible for me to try again, and my ...

Re : So sad, so depressed, so much pain...

Sam Im so sorry. I know how you are hurting having lost Ellie then my 2nd baby too. Both unexpected miracles after years of infertility. It just seems so cruel doesn't it, to have to go through it twice. Thinking of you.

Re : Are your birthdays hard?

<t>Catching this a bit late, but hope your day went ok. I know what you mean re birthdays, mine will never feel the same again. I was hospitalised the day before my 40th and Ellie was born 2 days after my birthday. 'Special' birthdays will never feel right again either as Ellie should have been cele...

Re : What to say to my friend that can't have a baby...

<t>Speaking from experience, I think the best thing you can do for your friend is to be there for her with support and friendship. I have had years of infertility, and always hated the 'don't worry, it will happen' comments. Ok, so I am one of the few it did happen for, it happened twice without med...

Re : More ?'s on IUDs

<t>I have a Mirena (hormonal) IUD. I had the first after losing Ellie, and as I really suffered every month with heavy bleeding it was a relief to not have that any more. I felt better than I had in years (I also have PCOS). Insertion was painful, as I had a c-section with Ellie and have a very high...

Re : Age when you got married.

First time round I was 27 and was married for almost 10yrs. I met Ellie's daddy not long after my divorce when I was 37 and we married when I was almost 41, nearly 2yrs ago!

Re : Bad news

I am so sorry Nancy. I know how hard these decisions are having just been through a 2nd loss myself. We chose not to try again. You will know in your heart what is the answer for you. Thinking of you.
