Re : Ladies who have suffered with PE & HELLP...

<t>1st - PE & HELLP, induced at 36 weeks<br/> 2nd - Just PIH, induced at 39 weeks. But I did have some protein in urine when I was in L&D, so possibly PE.<br/> It seems to me, simplifying the various articles, that chances increase if you wait too long between preganancies, but you also need...

Re : Just diagnosed with preeclampsia, UPDATE!!!

<t>It is common they take your BP laying down. There's been several topics on it. Essentially, it shows "if" your body can return to normal. It's not "as" serious if your body can return to normal laying down.<br/> I know exactly what you are thinking - "but I don't live laying down on my left side!...

Re : Having sex while pregnant-advice and thoughts

My DH and I were almost as active as normal both pregnancies. We were concerned, but from everything I've read its perfectly fine.

Re : Just diagnosed with preeclampsia, UPDATE!!!

<t>I hope the iron supplements help!! I hated the "you're really not that swollen" from nurses too.<br/> Don't let them try to influence you to not going in because they contacted your hubbys command. They can absolutley not interfere. In fact, I would complain to the hospital that it is a breach of...

Re : Just diagnosed with preeclampsia, UPDATE!!!

<t>BTW, I wanted to email you but I didn't see any contact info. We are not allowed to recommend or trash any hospital, doctor, etc. on posts due to potential legal ramifications. I am only recommending Wilmington because they have a higher level NICU than Camp Lejeune and therefore are capable of h...

Re : Just diagnosed with preeclampsia, UPDATE!!!

<t>It's great that the doctor is being so proactive. I'm glad you're getting NSTs. <br/> Personally, I would push for Wilmington only because I am overly cautious. I wanted the highest level NICU available "just in case". But it also depends on your personal situation - how hard would it be on you a...

Re : does anyone else feel like this?

<t>You're not crazy. That's why so many of us are on the boards months and years after our experience. I too have 2 wonderful and healthy boys. But I'll never forget what happened. We are robbed of the "birth experience" we all thought we would have. The birth of our children - which should be happy...

Re : convertable car seat vs. infant car seat

<t>We only used the infant car seat for 9 months, then moved to a convertible. It seems so much more comfortable for him, plus the one we got has cupholders. We bought the Graco MyRide 65. I found it cheapest at Target. It is not as convenient for getting in and out of the car, but I think he likes ...

Re : Just diagnosed with preeclampsia, UPDATE!!!

<t>I'm so sorry!!! But you are still at a good place. Did they give you the steroid shots? That will really help baby. Also, did you talk to the doc about going to Wilmington to deliver?<br/> I BF DS1 who was born at 36 weeks. You may not be able to directly BF baby initially if she's too early, but...

Re : Just diagnosed with preeclampsia, UPDATE!!!

<t>BPs can fluctuate hour by hour. You will get different readings based on what you ate or drank and if you're stressed and did you just walk 1/2 mile to get to the doctors office. So, the 6 week appointment could have been any of those factors. Also, your home monitor may not be as accurate, or yo...
