Stats on pre-e, HELLP and premature birth.

I am interested in some numbers and can't find anything good on the net. I would like to know: 1-What is the occurance of PIH, pre-e, HELLP and eclampsia? 2-What is the % of premature births a year due these syndromes? (I noticed on some of these March of Dimes stats that the syndromes werent listed...

Re: Thyroid and clotting ??'s

Laura yes they upped my levothyroxine today. My thyroid seems to keep getting sluggish for some reason.
Is platelets the only thing they check to check your clotting or is there another they will test? Thanks!

Thyroid and clotting ??'s

My current BW as of this past Friday yields my liver being normal (YAY!!) but my thyroid is not doing so well. We have been trying since August to get pregnant with no luck. I do know that thyroid issues can cause infertility. My question is, does thyroid play that major of a role in pre-e? Also, if...

Re: 5 weeks 3 days pregnant after Severe Pre-e and HELLP

We are currently TTC with no luck yet. I too had the same symptoms you did. My drs kept passing it all off as pa...

Re: prevelancy of HELLP

Me personally I think the statistics are much higher then what doctors say. You have to look at what percent is not diagnosed or undiagnosed. My OB said all of the sick pregnant women are sent to them so they see and can accuratley diagnose these syndromes. Knowledge and communication is key.

TTC after pre-e and HELLP

We have been trying since August 30th to get pregnant. Already I am ready to give up. It seems like it has became a chore cause I yearn so bad for another baby. I know we should enjoy this but still....there is that side. Did anyone have difficulty getting pregnant after and did any of you feel the ...

For those of you on borrowed time...

From the time you were diagnosed with mild/moderate pre-e, how long did you crawl along until you delivered? Were you on BP meds?

Re : 19 Weeks - Diagnosed with Hellp Syndrome

<t>Hello and I am sorry to hear of this.

I was diagnosed with severe PIH, severe pre-e and severe HELLP at 20 weeks delivering the next day at 20+1. I almost died myself.

From what I understand: it is VERY rare to have this this early. There is mentioning of a underlying disord...

D&C and pre-e....

I know there has been some talk on here about a poorly implanted placenta. Could a D&C help it implant better?
