Re: Cardiac work up

Caryn I 'm still a little confused by this new finding. So... if I didn't have PE 10 years ago and I am now 37 - I would still be at double the risk for stroke or heart disease by genetics?

Re: Cardiac work up

I actually had a work up about a year after my daughter was born for inappropriate sinus tachycardia and it was ok then. Other than some occasional bp spikes everything else is ok. I'll ask my family doc next month at my visit. As I contemplate another pregnancy, I just want to make the "right"decis...

Cardiac work up

With all this talk now about cardiac issues after having PE, is it recommended that one get a cardiac work up before even considering another pregnancy? Jeesh if damage is already done why up the risk of something serious happening with now two kids to worry about? Not the news I wanted to hear rece...

Re: Hellp worse second time

I was put on mag and had steroids. It was mild in comparison although when I think how high my blood pressure was I hestitate to say mild. It took weeks for my bp to stabilize. From what I read, postpartum is a dangerous time for the mom to get it. However, my daughter, although IUGR was healthy so ...

Re: Is Anyone thinking one and done

I currently feel the same way. I want to continue to enjoy my daughter and live without the stress and worry of another pregnancy right now. With stress and worry comes sadness for me. I just want to be happy for my daughter and truly happy within myself. I know that after all that worry comes a won...

Heart Disease and PE

I just received the PE newsletter and read the article about future heart disease and PE and it really scared me.

Re: fibromyalgia and preeclampsia

I think I should get my thyroid checked before TTC again. It is most certainly in my family and I know my results were always borderline. My aunt is overweight, has thyroid issues and had my cousin at 40 and she never had PE (thank goodness). That is the tricky thing with PE. You just never know.

Re: confused.....

Sending hugs your way as well....
I haven't done my yoga in a few weeks and feel "off". It truly helps me focus. I also have PMS now and reading some posts here make me a little sad. I wish you well and continue doing the yoga and good luck with your decision.
