Off to the UW tomorrow, any good ?'s to ask???
<t>HI All. I am off to the UW hypertensive clinic tomorrow and I am very excited about it. It is just so nice to know that my concerns are being taken seriously and that I am getting some great care. I know that these docs are experts and will be able to answer my deepest questions (although after b...

Re : How long from your PE diagnosis until delivery?
<t>I think that this varies so much - I was 37 1/2 weeks when I was diagnosed - it came on very suddenly, and I delivered that day. It seems that this was a question of the day a few days ago - you may check back a few pages. How is your sister, I have been thinking about her and you. You make me ho...

Re : what are my chances?
<t>Do you know why your OB put you on baby asprin? From what I have learned the only reason they should do that would be if you had a blood clotting disorder and then you would have to have tests to find out if you had one. My bp went to 130/70 at about 16 weeks - I am going to go get testing to see...

Re : nosebleeds
Totally normal to have during pregnancy. I too would use a humidifier if it bugs you, if not just don't worry about it.

Re : intermittent pain under right rib
<t>I had some blood pressure issues prior to having my first dd as well and remember that my bp would go up after taking a shower - that might be why you are seeing flashes at that time. I would mention the pains in your ribs to your OB, but would not be concerned at this time. As for your question ...

Re : Almost 2 years later
<t>I believe that there is research out there that says that women who develop pre-eclampsia are at a higher risk of developing high blood pressure later in life - similar to women who get gestational diabetes. I know that Anne has mentioned it here - maybe under one of the other forums - research o...

Re : Were you healthier after pree?
As a former teacher I know what made the difference for me - taking my vitamins, since I started taking them four years ago I have hardly ever gotten sick (knock on wood).

Re : update on my sister
<t>Wow, you know, having never been through all of this I just don't know. I do know that I would be scared to be sent home - is there someone who could stay with her. We were given the choice at 37 1/2 weeks when I developed pre-e to wait in the hospital for a night or to deliver, I wanted to deliv...

Re : Im Back!!
I was induced at 37 weeks - you should breath easy right now as your baby is very far along and many women go into natural labor at this point. Rest up and keep us posted.
