Re : how fast can it change?

<t>Yes, it took me 36 hours to go from mild hypertension to severe preeclampsia, multiple organ failure, HELLP, baby dying and myself in intensive care.<br/> <br/> Don't want to worry you but I would never ignore symptoms or changes in symptoms just because you had a "good" test result a day or two ...

Re : How is everyone doing?

Hi Delissa,

I'm now just past the gestational age at which I delivered last time (26+2) and everything is totally ok at the moment. My specialists are now very optimistic I'm going to get quite a bit further this time.

Hope this helps x

Re : Weight Gain and PE

<t>Hi Laura,<br/> <br/> Like you, I've put on a lot more weight this time. Last time I was pretty skinny; no one has told me to worry about it though because apart from the bump I still look fairly ok. <br/> <br/> It can still be true that gaining weight increases the risk of PE (on average in the p...

Re : Missing my Naomi after birth of little sister

I don't really have any advice, but reckon I might feel exactly the same (now 26 weeks pregnancy with a girl after losing my daughter at 26 weeks). Ask for help if you need it; you've been through an awful lot to get Sadie. I hope you start to feel better soon x

Re : Surrogacy

<t>I'd like to wish you good luck whatever you chose. I decided to try again myself after losing my daughter at 26 weeks 17 months ago - I am now 26 weeks again with no signs of PE yet, thankfully. I have no fertility issues though - I can see why you might think about trying surrogacy with fertilit...

Don't accept being told b*lls*t or inadequate care - ask for a referral

Re : Really need some advice..

That's utterly ridiculous! The urine tests are pretty cheap - compared with things getting so bad that you need to be admitted to intensive care for example. Complete rubbish and whoever said that has no idea what they are talking about (I'm married to a health economist).

Re : What caused this? (Caryn or any other *expert*)

Yes, I had this neck pain too. Never knew exactly why and the docs couldn't (or just didn't?) try to explain it either.

2+ glucose @ 26 weeks

<t>Hi there,<br/> <br/> Had appointment this morning - no PE yet (hooray!) but did find 2+ sugar in urine. I know that sugar in urine can flucuate "normally" and does not mean I will necessarily be diagnosed with gestational diabetes - or at least not yet - but I've never had this before. Am waiting...
