Re : A little worried (beta numbers very high)

I had very high betas early on - right at the top of the normal range - but turned out to be just a singleton (thankfully given the early PE I had!). Try not to read too much into this until you get the scan.

Good luck

Re : Sooo Sad

<t>I had a missed miscarriage where the baby just would not come away either. I don't know why that happens. I did not want surgery so I opted for drugs - but I think they are willing to give drugs at later gestations in the UK than US, so not sure if that is an option for you but you could ask?<br/...

Nope - no family history. Totally out of the blue.

Re : Need advice re: flu shot

I had H1N1 at about 10 weeks this pregnancy. I've had more than enough of being very ill during pregnancy!

Re : 5k- would you?

<t>Actually Caryn, the experts didn't really say much here - and most women probably wouldn't want to do a lot after diagnosis anyway. I actually managed to swim 2000m the day before I got diagnosed, but swiftly became to ill (and was hospitalised) after that anyway. <br/> <br/> It might be helpful ...

Re : 5k- would you?

I run competitively and continued racing up to about 8 weeks - but I was in very good shape before pregnancy and did not race further than about 5km. I'm sure that had no ill-effects on me or the baby.

I would be more cautious if you are not really trained though.

Re : How often for liver function and platelet tests?

I haven't had those done since 12 weeks; now 25+. I am comfortable with that in my case, as my BP / protein are normal and I feel well. But if you are not I think you should just ask for whatever would reassure you.

Best wishes

Re : How do you answer this question?

<t>I tend to say this is my second pregnancy (ignoring the miscarriages I've had, but obviously I could never ignore Alice). My miscarriages were all 1st trimester though, and I think (for me anyway) it does make a big difference how far you have got. I can dismiss the early miscarriages relatively ...

Re : Pregnant again and Nervous (History Attached)

<t>Congratulations. My obstetric history is pretty awful too, and I am now 39 years old. <br/> <br/> However, I have now reached the same stage (25+ weeks) as when I got PE with Alice and my BP is 100/60, no protein etc and everything like just totally boringly normal. Just maybe things will go much...
