Re : PE 1st Pregnancy/Now 34wks2nd Preg BP jumped

<r>Ok - just the facts here this time - try to keep the editorials to a minimum for you since you are likely busy and going to need all your reading time anyway [:)]. Lots of questions in there, hope I get them all.<br/> <br/> BP readings - how to take them:<br/> <URL url="http://www.preeclampsia.or...

Re : PE 1st Pregnancy/Now 34wks2nd Preg BP jumped

<t>I'll take the easy one first [:)] - since you already have the BP numbers down (over 140/90) right? So, the second important number to know for PE is the 24hr urine test. The first number to know is 300 - that is as in 300mg/24hr and that is the total amount of protein in the sample. Once you cro...

Re : PE 1st Pregnancy/Now 34wks2nd Preg BP jumped

<t>Wanted to add my welcome to the others - looks like they have covered your questions well and given you good advice. It is hard to know what to expect - however, know that PE is a very serious condition and although everyone (the doctors included) would far rather deliver closer to full term, tha...

Re : Volunteers Needed! Saving Grace 2007

Holyoke is about 90 miles out - good news is that it is straight down the Pike - main East/West highway so it could be a fast trip (non-rush hour of course). Certainly close enough to argue business needs to be in the area I'm sure.. [:)]

Re : Can it develop slowly?

<t>Getting the blood work and 24hr done is a good idea - even if your pressure is good now and when you have your appointment, your history and the readings you just had should be enough to raise the warning flags to "watch close." That said, having a good baseline measurement of your numbers can he...

Re : moms of small babies/toddlers

<t>Tough call really - definitely worth discussing with your doctor in my opinion. We were fortunate in that although Isabel was very small and has remained small, her growth has remained basically proportional and steady - i.e. she was off the charts, then somewhere along the line got on the charts...

Re : Should I be worried?

<t>I agree that calling your doc was/is the right thing to do. May be nothing - best to be sure. Sounds like you are generally not feeling well though - vomiting in general, bad cold, and fears of what may be happening pregnancy wise to boot! Much better to be safe than sorry. Whatever the cause of ...
