Re: To work or not to work

I think you have to decide if this job will add some balance to your life. For me, returning to work gave me a sense of satisfaction that I did not get elsewhere. Honestly, it helped during this second pregnancy as well. I am also a big planner and being pregnant this time drove me a little crazy. H...

Re: returning to your OB/GYN for routine stuff

I moved to another state right after the birth of my daughter. The ones who delivered her were excellent and they caught the HELLP. But the doctors I have had since I have not liked and did not seem to take the HELLP seriously. I now am at a practice where most of the docs are helpful- there are 2 I...

Re: How to handle toddler while in hosp for c-section

thanks Heather- that makes me feel better. My daughter is about the same age as your son was 2 years 8 months and I agree that it is not the same as a 6 or 7 year old in understanding what is going on. Of course, I don't want it to seem like her whole world was changing in one minute. I also got the...

Re: Stressing out a little ...

Pay attention to that lower back pain too- that was one of the symptoms I had with HELLP the first time around. I thought it was normal pregnancy back pain- it turned out to be kidney issues. Just make sure to pay attention to it and mention to docs.

How to handle toddler while in hosp for c-section

I am scheduled to have c-section on Tuesday. My inlaws will be taking care of my 2 1/2 year old. I want to include her as much as possible but I also do not want her to feel left out if mommy can't pick her up. They have told me I will be there between 2 -4 days- most likely 3. I'd rather stay as lo...

Re: If our 2 yr window comes to a close should we do in vitr

same here as lizard. While I know the research and science is there about the 2 year thing, there are other complications and issues with in vitro- so I would not start jumping at that for only the PE/HELLP reason. Also those studies show on a population - where you only need to be concerned about h...

Re: Lovenox and Aspirin

no underlying disorders so just LDA, folic aspirin and vitamin D/calcium supplement. Made it to 38 weeks yesterday. I have no idea if LDA helped but it certainly didn't hurt me. I stopped taking it during week 35 at doctors advice. Good luck and congrats on the pregnancy!

Re: Sperm meets egg plan not working for us..

Stop putting so much pressure on yourselves. Unless you have known fertility issues, there is no reason to think the old fashion way won't work. For me, it seemed to happen when we were trying the least and just enjoying it. My doc said don't do any ovulation kits, etc. for 6 months- just have sex a...

Re: So a nurse tells me today...

sounds familiar and frustrating - I went to L&D x-mas afternoon after vomiting and higher bps- 160s/70s and 150/70s. My BP was 140s/70-80s at the hospital so doc said not great but since labs were ok they sent me home. BPs have been in the high 130s/140s over 70s since. Of course today nurse at doct...

Re: Failed Glucose test and questions

I passed the 1 hour with 134. But since that time, I have spilled sugar in my urine every appointment. However, when they do the glucose test- it comes back in normal range- 100-120. I was told they were only concerned with it causing the baby to be larger than he already is at this point. One of th...
