I am so happy that I found this web site. I didn't even know I had HELLP or severe PIH until my son was discharged from the NICU after being in for a month. It was listed on his discharge papers. No one ever explained it -even at my check up whit my OBGYN. I had Jack (8--04-09)at 33 weeks- 3lbs5oz. He was a miracle before he was born -we had tried to have a baby for a long time- and now that I am learning about what exactly was wrong with me- it makes me know that he really is a miracle. I am going to see my maternal fetal specialist on Monday- what questions should I ask?
Sorry to hear that you have had to deal with HELLP, but I think you have come to the right place! There are so many here with similar experiences to share. I can't believe you didn't even know what happened for a month! It must have been really difficult to wonder what went haywire so quickly.
Anyway, I'm glad to see that you are going to see a MFM. Here's a link that was helpful to me when I saw mine post-HELLP:
Congratulations, and Welcome to the forums. I came here to find out info after my son (Parker!) was born at 33 wks. and am still hanging around 6 years later. This is a great community, with lots of info to share. Good Luck Monday.
