Hi, I also put this in "parents of preemies" section. On Tuesday, Nov 18th is Prematurity Awareness Day. Let's support this important day by wearing a blue wrist band from www.marchofdimes.com or just where a light blue color ribbon in your preemies honor. Put his or her name and birth date on the band. Let's wear it together.

It is almost time to set up another walk-a-thon team (in the spring time). Can we put together a Preeclampsia Foundation Team and walk together and maybe portion of your donations can go to Preeclampsia Foundation.

Lets find a way to help increase awareness for both mom and baby[8)]

Any "special" days like this can be announced in the events calendar, it's more likely to be noticed there by everyone. All we ask you to do is to email either Anne (anne@preeclampsia.org) or myself (angela@preeclampsia.org) with the details and we can put it up for you.

Thanks, Angela

This is a reminder that Tuesday, Nov 18th is Prematurity Awareness Day. Please wear a light blue colored ribbon in honor of your preemie/s. Write your preemies name and birthdate on the ribbon.

Lets us know if you get any comments on it.

Have a good week,
Deborah

I had no idea November 18 was Prematurity Awareness Day...my daughter's birthday is November 19 and she was born on the cusp of 29 weeks!

Hi I noticed that you guys are talking about getting blue-colored wrist bands from marchofdimes.com to wear on the 18th of November to support Prematurity Awareness Day. I was a preemie, born 9 weeks early with complications of hydrocephalus in my 2nd week. Doctors told my mother and my father that I would not likely graduate high school, much less make it to college. Well I am here to say that, thanks to the marvelous work of a neurosurgeon in Texas, I am starting my second year at Colorado State University. I am very interested in this cause, but have been only able to purchase a virtual band in honor of myself as a premature baby that's made it through incredible odds, and I would like a physical band to wear on the actual day of awareness. I haven't found where I can get one yet, could someone tell me? Thank you.

Hi Bootsqt
If you locate your local March of Dimes office they should be able to help you. www.marchofdimes.com . Also find out when their next walk-a-thon date is.
