Wanted to remind everyone about using goodsearch.com, instead of your normal internet search engines (google, yahoo, msn). Goodsearch is powered by Yahoo! so you are sure to get good search results. For every search you do (remember to choose PF below the search bar first), one cent is donated to the PF!! Just think of all the times we log on, just to the PF. If you looked up PF in goodsearch.com you'd donate a penny everytime you logged on!! I personally changed my homepage to Goodsearch.com so that it is always right there. Every website I go to....I search for! If anyone has any questions navigating the site, or setting up their home page let me know! I'll talk you through it!

I just read the rules and wanted to let everyone know I found that they have to be legitimate searches. In their "rules" it says that a charity will be taken off their list if the service is abused. This is what they have to say about legitimate searches:

We ask that you use this site honestly. As long as you use GoodSearch just as you would any other search engine, it's never a problem.

Fraudulent searching includes, but is not limited to, repeated manual clicks, the use of use of robots or other automated query tools, etc. This will result in the charity being de-listed.

GoodSearch should also not be used to repeatedly link to sites for which the URL is well known such as HotMail, ESPN, MySpace, Facebook, GMail, AOL, etc.

I think if we chose the PF as our charity, and then do a search for it every time we log on, that might be bending the rules a little. So, just make it a point to look up some new tidbit of information every day to earn the PF money through "honest searches." I looked up "Purple people eaters" yesterday. [;)]

YES! Good point, AlliC! Don't look up the PF....but look up lots of other stuff you would normally look up on google, etc!

I just checked and we are at 1313 searchs for Oct today. That's double last month's searchs!

WOOHOO!!! Setting my home page to Goodsearch has made it super easy for me to use it when I would normally use another search engine!

Just bumping this again because it is such and easy way to raise money. Yesterday I changed the homepage on my DH's laptop to goodsearch!
