How is everyone doing on their squares? I am reminded of this project while accomplishing one for a church project. I have thought of a few neat ways to embroider the square to pay tribute to my little one. I need to get mine finished as the deadline for putting them together will be here before I know it.

Hugs and Encouragement to all who are participating in this worthwhile quilting project to be presented at Saving Grace 07~!

Mine is done, but it is very novice-like. I don't know how to sew or embroider, so I had to resort to very kid-friendly methods. The most complicated thing I did was iron on some appliques. I had to go out and buy an iron to do it!

I wish I could have made it more fancy, but it was important to me that I do it myself for my girls and I did. Still, it's far from perfect.

Mine is sort of half done. I would like to finish it soon, we'll see.

Jana, that is great that you finished it and did it yourself. Did you enjoy doing it?

I did enjoy doing it, once I let go of the fact that I wasn't going to be able to make it a perfect, which is what I thought my girls deserved. I mean, we're talking sharpies, stensils and crayons, here! I guess I thought they would have rather me do it for them and have it not be so fancy, then for me to give it to someone else to finish.
