UPDATE January 2008: I just want to announce that I have now added a lotion to the PE soap bars on my website. Same page ... www.7swans.com/allsoaps.htm - scroll down to the bottom of the page. I will still donate $1 for every bar of special PE label soap from the list, plus I will now donate $2 from every bottle of special PE label lotion as well. As with the soaps, the signs & symptoms and PF website will be listed on the back. Thanks everyone for your orders so far!

Update: I have been given clearance, so I will begin this on-going sale as of now - December 5, 2007. The soaps are available on my website (www.7swans.com) under “handmade soaps†at the bottom of the page. Scroll to see "Soaps for a Cause". Remember I will donate $1 from the sale of each bar from those listed to benefit the cause. Symptoms and the PF website will be listed on the label on the back of the bar.
Thanks!

I own a natural bath and body care business, and sell hand-made soaps, lotions, scrubs, etc.
I have been wanting to dedicate one of my soaps to the PF, and have received the go-ahead from Mr. Viall - who BTW is an incredibly nice person "in-person" over the phone =) . I will donate one dollar from the sale of every bar of this "PE" soap to the PF, and the symptoms of PE will be listed on the label on the back of the bar, along with the PF's web address for more info. People will be able to purchase it off my website and when I do shows and bazaars. Also I plan to send a brochure along with each purchase.
I would like some input though, if you guys wouldn't mind.
1. The formula I would like to use - my personal favorite because I have really dry skin (a hazard of living in Alaska) - is made with lard as one of the ingredients. (Yes, pig fat! But it is one of the best ingredients out there for soap, believe it or not!) I know some people like to avoid animal products though. Since I'm sort of gearing this to mommies and mommies-to-be, I'd like it to be a very gentle bar, but I can accomplish this with all-vegetable oils too. Would this matter to you?
2. What attracts most people to different soaps is scent, and I color many of the bars. However while the other ingredients are 100% natural, the fragrance oil and colorant are not (although they are deemed totally safe by the FDA). I could make a bar that's 100% natural by using only lavender essential oil for scent and no colorant, but it's not as attractive to some people and may not sell as well. Is all-natural very important in your opinion?
I would really appreciate any input you guys have to offer. Thanks!
