Possible Fundraiser?

Has anyone tried selling candles? Or is this something we can even look at doing?? My MIL just had a Home & Garden party and the lady was telling us about the jar candle fundraising they do. She said she is having a sale on the candles in Jan (20% off I think). Depending on the amount we set for sale will determine the amount of $ made. Any thoughts??

Yeah I got the notice about the meeting and asked for the day off- I work at Hallmark- and I am scheduled to work until noon/1:00 so now I am not sure if I will be there or not. Hopefully I will make it.

Good idea. At work, one of my coworkers daughters was selling Yankee Candle for fund raising. I don't know the specifics, but you can fund raise with their products. I spent $50..I just love candles.

My mom sells Home & Garden Party and I haev used their candle sales for fundraisers in the past. Last year we raised over $1000 for the Leukemia Society. I would be willing to help with the fundraiser and can connect with my mom to help us if you decide to proceed that route. Let me know!

Okay I just got off the phone with my mom and here is the scoop. In January there is a Candle sale and it's 25% off the retail, take that plus my ( 30% ) discount the Jar Candles sold in January would cost the organization $2.90 a candle instead of the regular $4.00. If we sold them for $6.00 each we would earn $3.10 a candle!! And there's no minimum order. Here's a link to the flier on the sale:
