iam also interested. i just have a qestion, in the first post it says that you have to had pre-eclampsia withing the last 2 years well i dont know if i ever had pre-eclampsia i did have postpartum eclampsia dose that matter? also it was not my first preg it was in my 2nd but in the first post didnt say anything about that in the second one it said it had to be the first. but i would be verry interested in helping any way that i can. my email is knielson4@yahoo.com thanks kari

I think that the studies we are preparing to collaborate on just want "fresh" specimens (us) so prefer you had it within the past two years--I don't think they say before the baby is born or after...I can check with them when we get closer to starting the study.

I had pre-eclampsia in October 2002, it killed my son and almost did away with me as well. My doctor told me that I was lucky to walk away and not be on a donor list needing a kidney or liver. She also said that if I got pregnant again it might kill me. I have since been pregnant again and had a healthy baby girl born November 2003. She is 9 months old. But I have had Pre-eclampsia before with the pregnancy carrying my oldest daughter. I didn't have the elevated liver enzymes with her in 1994 but I did with my son in 2002. I am willing to help in any way that I can. My husband and I are going to try for our 4th baby next month.
