Cookbook Survey - PLEASE RESPOND!

Postby jillmushet » Wed Feb 09, 2005 12:14 am

Hi Everyone:

A cookbook fundraiser is in the works. We are now putting together a budget. A big part of our work is estimating how many books would sell.

The books would be professionally printed for the Preeclampsia Foundation, would contain approx 500 recipes, and retail for approx $10.

I need your help! Please let me know how many books you think that you would buy and sell. Getting some estimates will go long way to coming up with a good working number for our budget.

Thank You!

Jill, I think I could definitely sell 5.

(Sorry- we're coming right off the tail of the Scout cookie push, and I've exhausted the goodwill of friends and family trying to win that kid of mine the Kitty Voice Recorder...)

Maybe I could sell more, but I can commit to 5!

Thanks Laura! We are a few months away from having them hot off the press. The girl scout cookies will be long gone by then.:)

Thanks Mada. The plan is to get recipes from all of the wonderful PF members! But there is still some planning to do before we get to that stage. Jill

Jill -

I'd be in for 20 for my own personal use........I'll give some away for gifts and can sell the others.

Do you have a timeframe in mind? I know it will take quite a bit to pull all of this together........any chance it could be ready to sell at the walk-a-thons?

20 cookbooks, all right Carol!!

Timeframe: Having them done by May 7th is unlikely. Think summer.

However once its completed, we foresee this cookbook being available for years to come for all sorts of PF events! :)

Hi Jill -

You can count me in for 20 as well. I agree with Carol - they will make great gifts!

Maybe we can put an order request out at the walk-a-thon, even if the books aren't ready yet.

I could probably sell/give as gifts 10-20 easily. Let me know once they're ready.

Jill,
Is it possible to have the cookbook before the walk in May? We might try to sell them at the walk. If so, each location could purchase at least 10.
