Posting Abbreviations?

Hi! At the risk of sounding completely ingnorant [:I], could you explain some of the commonly used abbreviations? Such as:

DH
DD/DS/DZ

I sort of guessed by context that the DH meant husband or dad...and then used in it my own signature! Hope I got it right!

Hi Ellen,

Don't feel ignorant. I think that there are no responses yet to your question because we are all thinking-uh, I hope I am using the right translation. I assume that DH is dear husband, DS-dear son, DD-dear daughter. If I have just made a fool of myself, someone please correct me! DZ? Not sure. Has anyone given birth to a dear zebra? Seriously though, could it be disease????

I think that the DZ refers to the kind of twins, monozygotic (MZ)twins are the identical kind, DZ would be fraternal, derived from the fertilization of two separate eggs. I can't swear though, my embryology is from a long time ago and 90% of that was scratched onto colored pencils to try bluffing the diagrams [:I]
