I was told by my OB and the pharmacy that they are not accurate. ?!?!?! But, they do sound easier!

I have a wrist cuff and I measured it against the automatic cuff at Target and against the bp taken by my OB and it was right on both times.

As far as I know you need to wait at least 15 min between readings. otherwise the second reading will be inacurate. You did just artificially consrict the vessels and they need a little time to get over that.

the american heart associate says that arm cuffs are the most accurate, followed by wrist cuffs, and the the finger monitors being the least accurate.
