question about syptoms postpartum

This might sound odd but I wanted to ask anyway. I had been induced with my son at 34 weeeks due to PE. At that time my reflexes were very reactive. I am now 10 weeks postpartum and at night when I am trying to relax certain muscles start twitiching kind of like when I was pregnant and sick. Any ideas? Anyone experience this to? Is it related to PE?

I am not totally sure what this is, but I know that if you aren't getting enough fluids, especially water, you muscles can twitch. Sometimes I get jumpy legs at night and am not sure why and it's awful so I feel for you. If it keeps happening, put a call in to your doc.....Hope you feel better.

I just wanted to clarify that they don't start twitiching exactly they actually jump. For an example my rm will jump and it wakes me out of an almost sound sleep. It's hard to explain. Yes still have restless legs, but this is definately different. Very confusing.

that's such an interesting question! Supposedly- preeclampsia is supposed to be entirely gone by 6 weeks. Do you have an appointment with a doc about this yet? I'd sure want to know what that is...
when you find out, let us know!

no appointment yet. nobody really wants to take resposibility after PE and 6 weeks. To be honest though only 2 weeks left home with my son before returning to work I don't want to be at the doctors office allthe time like the majority of my pp.

You know- that's something we hear pretty often- (and something I've wondered about, personally) we feel that we have issues that are lingering after PE and don't know who to seek help from with them.

I can certainly understand wanting to spend every minute with that baby- they grow and change so quickly! Enjoy your next couple of weeks!

Has anyone considered Electrolytes? When you get jumpy next time, drink a gatorade and see if it helps...or whichever is non-carbonated. Can't remember. I know that that is/was my problem whenever my muscles twitched, though it wasn't actually "jumping." Just another suggestion.

I dont know about post partum. But, my husband sometimes will do this. Its as if he is lifting his whole leg up and letting it drop. I have even tried putting my leg over his and he will actually lift mine up with him. He has no idea he is doing this and it happens about 3 times a week. Needless to say It keeps me awake. Restless leg syndrome?!!?!?!
