I went to my appt yesterday. My Bp was 160/100 in the office. They said I had quite a bit of edema and most of my wt gain was from that. ( 65 pounds at 21 wks).
They thought it was pretty early for me to have such edema from the pg, the same as the high bp.
They looked up one of the meds I am on, Remeron, and said it can cause edema and high bp.
So I am going off of that med and see how it goes. I go back in two wks.
But the doc went on to say he thought my anxiety was causing high bp too. This is frusterating as I am not usually anxious when I see them and it is always high in the office. I explained to then the simplest activities like talking on the phone can cause my BP to spike. They just dont seem to be hearing it.
When they told me my bp was 160/100, I informed them that I was at another dr. appt two hours earlier and it was 117/70. I am not a doc, but it seems like quite a jump.
Anyway, they said in the mean time to keep my feet elevated at home and to where those support hose when I go out.

Jen,

I spoke to much of this on your other post but wanted to ask if you are seeing a perinatologist/high risk OB?
