but this darned forum has stolen my eyesight. I'm sitting here this evening reading the posts with my new little reading glasses. Old age here I come. Agh!!!!!!!!!![xx(][:p][xx(][xx(]

What can I say but.. ugh. I have discovered that I'm soooo vain. I don't want to take these to work and be seen in public.....

BTW.. it's amazing, it's so much more comfortable reading all your posts...

Well, you can't say we never gave you anything....[:o)]

Suck it up, you sexy thing. Glasses make people look cool and smart. I know, because I wear glasses, and feel my IQ just leap higher when they go on. Trust me. I know these things.

Just don't get those little corded necklace things to hang 'em from. Those suck entirely, and are sufficient reason to feel vain.

Ok, I confess, I only wear my glasses when I retire at night, and when Captain Merlot pays a visit to my house, and I must.[:p]

Still, wear your glasses- squinting and holding the paper at different arm's lengths is far less attractive...

No, wait, I've been thinking about it! You could use a big magnifying glass to read the forum, and order one of those big button telephones, etc. and blame it on your dear husband.

Ok Laura, MIL does the big magnifying glass thing and someday I may just pick it up and crack her over the head with it, just get the specs already.. ykwim?!!!!

My DH wanted me to get "schoolmarm" ones, who knows what disgusting fantasies he's hoping I'll fulfill. Maybe I'll just try shushing him a la librarians and see what happens.....[;)]

LOL...you two crack me up! Hey, I wear the glasses. I just came to the conclusion I cant live without them! Now when I take them off, I dont see how in the world I ever did without them!

Hey I even have two pair. The sexy librarian and the 'normal' ones. Who says our husbands cant have the best of both worlds?!?! [:p]

they make some very attractive frames out there that compliment different face structures.

Splurge on yourself and get ones you like regardless of the cost =)

One thing to remember about glasses, while they are a necessity, they are also an accessory. I made the mistake of getting glasses that blended into my face and where too big for me. They looked pretty stupid.

Now I have tiny little rectangle shaped glasses in a very nice tortise shell color (brown) that sets off my features and they are titanium so the kids can't break this pair [:D]

Though, I don't wear my glasses that often (as I usually wear contacts) I am no longer uncomfertable being seen in my glasses as they do look good on me!
