My bp went up from 90/50 to 135/85 at 27 weeks and then to 158/98 and I was diagnosed with Pe at 29 weeks. I made it on bedrest in and out of the hospital till 35 weeks.

My blood pressure issues started at 26 weeks. But my pressure issues have been managed exclusively by bed rest. At 34 weeks, my pressures were good enough that the doctor said I could return to work. Since then, they've crept up a bit, but usually will settle out if I get my feet up and relax. I'm now at almost 37 weeks (tomorrow)...we'll see what happens from here out.

My BP started going up at around 10-12 weeks in my frist pregnancy. It did not hit 140/90 until 24 weeks and I delivered at 37 weeks (looking back I should have delivered between 32-34 weeks becuase after that both baby and I suffered a good deal). 2nd time around, my bp started to fluctuate at around 25-30 weeks, bedrest at 30 weeks, delivered after I read 120/98 at 2 appointments at 36 weeks (first time in that pregnancy I officially went over 90 and stayed there)

In my first pregnancy, I started having BP issues around 18 weeks, but it wasn't treated with meds and my son was born at 26 weeks due to severe pre-e. In this pregnancy, while I do have some underlying disorders that have been treated with meds, my BP didn't start going up until 33 weeks. I ended up in L&D for overnight observation, sent home on bedrest and then put on Labetalol (200 mg 2x a day) a week later. I'm scheduled for a c-section on Tuesday at 37 weeks 4 days.

I hope your follow-up goes well. Good for you for getting checked out, too. I never thought about going to a fire station, but that's a great idea.

My blood pressure started skyrocketing around the 12th week, and I was referred to my OB who's a high BP specialist in our city. My pressure was a good stable 150/100 for a while, was prescribed medication, BP dropped during the second trimester. Soon enough though it went up again. Had a 180/107 reading in the hospital on the 24th week, and I was taken off work in a heartbeat. Surprisingly insurance company didn't even argue over STD claim. I've been on bedrest - kinda - not strict, but have a short list of what I'm allowed to do such as walking two times ten minutes a day, sitting in front of the computer for a few hours... etc.
Protein also started to creep up, have a lot of kidney related problems, but I'm at 34 weeks and still in one :-) My GP told me once, she didn't think I would make it further than 28 weeks.
It can still happen, so I hope it happens to you too. We take one day at a time and I hope to make it to 35 weeks now.
Good luck.

I started with BP issues at my 29-week appointment. It took almost 10 days to get it under control with heavy doses of methyldopa, but I went as high as 180/110 and 178/110 and almost was sent downtown to the High Risk Clinic. We are on a day-to-day basis right now with my BPs averaging around 135/80 to 148/90 on strict bedrest, and I just passed the 32-week mark. My OB wants to try to get me to 34 weeks. I've also just done my third bloodwork for toxemia panel and my third 24-hour urine collection (my first week showed protein at 256 and second week of 180) -- we'll see what tomorrow brings. But basically, at this point, my doc says that we are playing it "day to day."

So, I went to the doctor and it had came down to 140/86. I have a follow up on monday. I am 26 weeks. How did they treat you guys with blood pressure issues so early in your pregnancy. Also, how long was it till you delivered?
