mild pre-e as of now....

So, yesterday at 27w 3d I was diagnosed with mild pre-e. Started off elevated protein only... well now my bp is on the rise. Okay, already had both steroid shots, 2 24-hr urines which went from 320 to 519 in 2 weeks. Bps are ranging 142-151/75-90. Been on labetalol 100mg/2x day since beginning. Twice weekly nst. Weekly 24 hour urines and bloodwork. All bloodwork still within normal limits as of now. Bedrest at home. Just really wanna make it further. My dr said my call in #s are 160/110 and she won't up my dosage til that point.
Sidenote: had severe pre-e last pregnancy that wasn't caught til 11 hours before emergency c-section was needed at 32 weeks.

I'll be keeping all crossables crossed that you have a very different experience this time and your pre-e stays mild and you have many more weeks of pregnancy ahead of you!! Keep posted when you can.

So, now my bp seems to be in the labile stage. Yesterday had some scary top numbers.... went up to 156 at one point. Then in the evening, the highest that top number got was 134. Bottom number has yet to reach 90 though. Mainly hanging out in high 70s to low 80s.

Just had weekly bpp done. Protein still going up at rate of 75 a week.... in past month has gone from 320 to 592. All other bloodwork looks good still. Not sure what to expect. I am only 28 weeks

I feel your pain. The protein is what gave me the diagnosis and now I've been told its just a waiting game. My bps have been in high 130/high 80s but hasn't crossed over yet. Sounds like your dr is watching you closely. My 1st pregnancy I had sever pre-e at 29 weeks and delivered at 30... Very different expierence than this one. Hang in there. Let us know if anything changes.

What have your protein levels been?

My baseline at 12 weeks was 120 something. This past week I did a 24 hour and it was 370 something (I was trying to think about everything I have to do before going into the hospital so I don't remember the exact number) I go back in tomorrow and well see if she has me do another one.

I'm surprised I didn't show any signs sooner. I was thinking that I wouldn't even make it to 30 weeks. When do you go back in?

Newest update.... will be 30 weeks tuesday. Bloodwork, bp, nsts all still looking good. Protein was up to 592 last week. This week it dropped to 434. Strange
... but I will gladly take it!! Every day/week I remain pregnant is a true blessing.

Glad you are 30 weeks! It is not that uncommon for protein to fluctuate from day to day, week to week. Fingers crossed that you can hang in there a lot longer. I am glad they are watching you closely and you've already received the steriod shots.
