I had my baby!

I was admitted to hospital on the 13th for high BP and protein and on the 16th I was induced at 36 weeks + 2. Labour was rough, baby's heart rate kept dropping and my BP started spiking so I was put on magnesium sulfate (horrid stuff!). I delivered 24 hours after induction (VBAC). My baby boy was 4 lbs 6 oz and was considered IUGR. He's doing well with feeding and I'm still recovering from meds and eager to get home. I had HELLP with my 2nd son and preclampsia with my 3rd so we are not having anymore little ones, it's just too much of a medical gamble with my babies and myself.

Boy (Feb. 2009) Born @ 34 weeks, 3 lbs 13 oz, HELLP syndrome and IUGR, emg c/s
Boy (June 2012) Born @ 36 weeks, 4 lbs 6 oz, Pre. and IUGR, VBAC
Boy (Nov. 2006) Born @ 40 weeks, 7 lbs 11 oz, had GD but no hypertension issues

Congrats on the arrival of your lil' one- thankful to hear he is healthy! I'm glad everything was caught in time and you were able to have a successful VBAC! Sorry about the mag... that is the worst med!
