Congrats on your baby girl!

It is possible to get postpartum pre-e up after delivery. I was put on blood pressure meds after I delivered my second child. My pressures started going up after a delivery, peaking a week postpartum, before slowly starting to come back down.

Have you talked to your healthcare provider since you came home from the hospital? If I were you I'd call in about the high pressures and see what they have to say. Please keep us posted as you are able.
Hypothyroid mom to
Connor (severe pre-e at 38 weeks)
Claire (dx'd with pre-e and induction at 37 weeks)
Annabelle (chronic HTN & GD, superimposed pre-e @34 weeks, induction @37 weeks)

High bp

Postby anny4 » Sun Sep 21, 2014 06:07 pm

Hi Ladies,
I just delivered a baby girl on the 16th pe free pregnancy. However afterbirth my bloodpressure is high although I have not been diagnosed with postpartum pe. I normally check my bp 2 x first reading was 148/99,after a minute it's 128/99. Does this mean I'm developing post partum. When I left hospital it was 136/100.
