They also ruled out PE because "her bp is normal." I wish they had explained it more, though!

Yea, I thought that was pretty cool when they said well start her on magnesium incase it is preeclampsia. I hope that got a lot of women thinking, hmm what is preclampsia.

That's funny that you were just watching that! I haven't been on the Forum in awhile and I was watching and it too and it got me thinking that I have to check in here! Sad story, but good to hear that the docs are considering PE and putting their patients on Magnesium right away.

The lady didn't really have preeclampsia, she had something else but I won't say what in case people in different time zones are going to watch it :) The did mention the systoms of preeclampsia though. I really like the show, although it does make me totally parinoid sometimes!

Well, at least it got a mention on a tv program. Did they do any further explanation?

They keep saying "Preeclampsia" because the women is 28 weeks preggy and here liver and kidneys are acting up. Anywho any time the say preeclampsia I start giggling and my husband thinks I'm nuts. LOL, I just think the more people hear the word the more they will want to know about it and maybe they will look it up on webmd!
