Oh wow! Somehow your last post just posted OVER your first...Glad to hear the BP is happier with rest. Take that as your sign to be a couch potatoe! ;) No more dishes or laundry, right?!

Thanks to all of you for your help with this. I went in to see another doctor yesterday, and although my regular Dr. was not available...the Doctor I did see was great. He was concerned about the changes, even apologized that I didn't get the care and attention I should have last week. My BP was still up, but the protein did not show up in the urine test yesterday. I am doing the 24 hour Urine test today, with follow up blood work tomorrow and regular exams every week now! Even though my BP is still high, gotta tell you I feel much better knowing that I am getting the care the two of us need!!! Thank you again so much for your input on this. I will definitely keep you posted!

I'm with the other ladies....please give a ring to your regular doctor. And keep an eye out for other PE symptoms. Ann Marie is very right, YOU are the best advocate for yourself and your baby.

Take care, and let us know what happens.

You're right to be concerned. With your symptoms and your history I don't think what is going on is a fluke. I agree with Anne and the others, you need to be seen more often than once a month. I was put on bedrest for bp's and protien like yours at 22 weeks. Are you seeing a perinatologist at all? Have your doctors done a 24 hour urine? Are you keeping a log of your bp's? Please call your doctor and let us know what he/she says. You're doing the right thing by advocating for you and your baby. Hugs,

And here is the link to our signs and symptoms page, for reference: www.preeclampsia.org/symptoms.asp

I agree whole-heartedly with the other ladies.

I'm with Melissa. You need to be seen this week by your regular doctor. It is good that you are being vigilant about taking your BP and self-monitoring. How is the headache? If you have any of the signs and symptoms, I would go to the ER. There is no reason for you to be worried and in pain. Given your previous experience with preeclampsia--you are at an increased risk of getting it again. Continue being your best advocate and let us know how things progress.

I would call your doctor again and get into your regular doctor if possible. That is quite a jump. If you get really anxious I would go to L&D. But certainly put another call into your doctor.

Good luck and keep us posted.
