I have successfully avoided this song for about a year, but it found me this evening as I watched The Voice. I then spent the next hour torturing myself by listening to it over and over.

Just when I think I'm doing okay, I am reminded that I will never be.

I haven't heard that song and thought about googling it... but I think best not.

This road is so difficult and filled with two steps forward one step back. It's been almost four years since I last held my daughter and there are still days that knock me down... they are fewer and farther between, but still there and I think maybe always will be, and perhaps that's ok.... maybe it's the price of loving and missing someone so fully.

I actually LOVE that song (especially the line about 'lord send me a rainbow i'll shine down on my mother..') but dh isn't a fan of it and i can understand how it can go either way. I am sorry you are having a rough time, hopefully there are lots of rainbows coming your way soon.

this song reminds me of the oldies song "only the good die young". About 2 weeks after losing Mason, I heard this song on the radio and nearly landed in a ditch it made me cry so hard. Anyways, for some reason whenever I hear "if I die young" it makes me just as sad...
