thank you all so much for all your wonderful and supportive messages, it means alot that you guys take the time to listen from over the "pond" and respond in such a kind and caring manner when the dark times descend upon someone in need of a "virtual" hug!!, so i am sending the ((((hugs)))) right back at you all!!

The poem made me cry. It is very beautiful and very touching. I hope that honoring your son on Wed will help you feel close to him. I just passed through my son's first birthday about 6 weeks ago. It did bring all of my emotions back to the surface. I wish you well!

I feel for you as my little boy, Ben's anniversary was Oct 12th, just yesterday, he would have been 2 yrs old. I believe it was harder on my husband yesterday than me and I'm not sure why. I miss him but I've also been a widow and I think once death shows up on your doorstep, you figure out quickly how you have to deal with it or don't. Crying is good to help get the emotions out instead of making you feel worse and worse while bottling them up. I send hugs to you today to help you through this anniversary. Ben will always be my son and I will honor him every time I speak his name and remember him.
You wrote of the song that was played at your son's funeral. I had a hymn sang for my son's funeral. "I Was There To Hear Your Borning Cry" But irony would be that he was stillborn and I never heard his cry. They occasionally sing this song in church and it breaks me up each time I hear it but in a good way. So sweet a hymn. Such is the power of music to move us.

Know that I will be thinking of you today. I hope you feel my long distance hug.
