Thank you so much for your kind words. The hurt and the pain is unbelievable, but kind support makes the days so much easier.

Thank you for your compassion, and Dee, thank you for sharing the poem. I lost my son just over a month ago, and I will never be the same. We are blessed to have people like you who acknowledge the pain so many of us are living with.

Thank you for sharing your blessings. I, too, have been thinking of those moms who not only have had to lose a child, as I have, but to have to watch them go after fighting for their precious lives. Sometimes I feel so guilty for feeling thankful for not having to endure that time in the NICU. As much as I wanted to deliver my son alive, I don't think I could've watched him slip away. My parents have a beautiful poem framed that they received after my aunt passed away and I would like to share it with all of you. I dedicate this to all the mothers who have lost a child....

May I Go Now?

May I go now?
Don't you think the time is right?
May I say good-bye to pain-filled days
and endless lonely nights?
I've lived my life and done my best,
an example tried to be,
so can I take that step beyond
and set my spirit free?

I didn't want to go at first.
I fought with all my might!
But something seems to draw me now
to a warm and loving light.

I want to go! I really do!
It's difficult to stay.
But I will try as best I can
to live just one more day...
To give you time to care for me
and share your love and fears.
I know you're sad and are afraid
because I see your tears.

I'll not be far, I promise that,
and hope you'll always know
that my spirit will be close to you
wherever you may go.

Thank you so for loving me.
You know I loved you too.
That's why it's hard to say good-bye
and end this life with you.
So hold me now, just one more time,
and let me hear you say,
because you care so much for me,
You'll let me go today.

Thank you for your kindness. I lost my daughter just over two months ago and my heart still feels like it's made of lead. I am hopeful for a healthy baby in the future, but terrified of repeating this horrible experience at the same time.

Your Emily is beautiful.

Thanks for the blessing! Losing a baby is devastating and
it is totally heart breaking to not have any guarantees
on a future pregnancy..

Thank you for thanking the time to look at Kat's tribute. It's something that is so very dear to our family hearts. When the funeral home asked us to send in a song and pictures we had no idea on what impact Katlyne's tribute was going to have on us and on the people who view it. It has won a few "prizes" for the company and also for the editor.

Thank you for your kind words and thoughts...

Thank you so much for the kinds words. I am one of those who lost her son. It has been 9 1/2 years and the pain never goes away but you learn to live with it somehow. It is people like you who say a few words that make it all the more bearable.

Just wanted to tell you ladies:

I clicked on Angelkats link to Kaitlyn's tribute....I had to stop it after 30 seconds because I was sobbing. To all mothers who have endured a loss...god bless you all, you are all strong women beyond comprehension.

DD Emily born 4-01-04 at 37 weeks due to severe PE/Eclampsia. Currently Hypertensive and still on medication.
