Hi Danielle,

I am from England, the South east, Berkshire in fact, where are you??? I had pre-eclampsia and eclampsia with my last pregnancy and had our beautiful Joshua at 32 weeks. I also have 2 babies in heaven, one J's twin another i lost at 18 weeks. I have also just found out im pregnant too, about 5/6 weeks also, althou hard to tell without a scan as I have only had 2 periods in 3 years!!!! I feel very scared also about this pregnancy but I am trying soooo hard to be positive. My gynae consultant has placed me on 2 different types of vitamins to try and prevent pre-eclampsia again. Have you started to take anything? there is also a study in the uk abotu baby aspirin (but i am allergic to aspirin so i couldnt try that one). I wish you a lot of luck Danielle, just keep positive and how knows we may be ok this time :)

hi princess weezy thank you for your reply i have my first scan tomorrow,im very scared cuz i have a phobea of needles.the doctors have done nothing they didnt even phone me and tell me that my pregnancy was confirmed they just send me an appointment for a scan.every one i no on here so far has had help and advise of doctors gynaz midwives an so on but no one has bothered over here with me wish i lived up by u.but im going to find out wether im having 1 baby or more i have a feeling its two but we'll see.i also had pre-eclamsia and eclampsia so i no wot you went thru and sorry to hear about your children. good luck[:D]

Awwww Danielle, i wish you luck with your scan. I also dislike needles with a passion, but now what with having anapahylactic shocks frequently, i have to inject myslef with adrenaline to save my life. So i look at it that way, these injections no matter how nasty they really are, may save us in one way or another.

I am surprised that no-one has offered you more support. I have been lucky that i saw my gynae consultant before trying for another baby. Im also lucky that my husband is in the army so we have a medical centre on camp that has a midwife there. If i were you, i would go to your gp and ask for assistance, these days you bneed to push for what you want and be more assertive. Ask also at your scan about baby aspirin and the vitamin study. I have the info here about the vitamins, if you would the info too please let me know :).

I also think i may be having more than one child again, as my husband is a twin, my son Joshua was a twin and my mother also was a twin. So it certainly runs both ways. I feel very much fatter already :) so you never know. I have my 1st midwife app on monday so i have already typed out all of my medical history (esp with my last pregnancy) so i do not forget anything. I know what i am like when i get into a medical office, i forget soooo much :).

Anyway Chin up Danielle, rememebr try not to get toooo nervous, i am here for you, we are in the same boat, we can get thro this :)

im from westbromwich in the midlands.i had my scan today baby is a bit smaller than thy like.they have told me they will keep a close eye on me so at least thats something.im 10 weeks and six days so im 11 weeks tomorrow[:I].yeah ive had phobia of needles since i saw my mom have a blood test years ago.i told them and i asked for the anastetic gel pads so thats in process im feeling good today probly cuz ive seen my baby[:)].
