I know what you mean pregnancy is quite a roller coaster and I'm about ready to get off. Hopefully the rest of your pregnancy is boring.

I hate all of these tests and ultrasounds. And the way docs are all non-chalant about it all. Like it's no big deal. The first u/s i had with this baby, on the order he wrote that he was checking for gestational age (which I expected) but also for viability. Which is just doctor slang for life. But in the office when he couldn't find the h/b, it was like it was no big deal. Obviously, now she's fine and viable, but being pregnant might be the most stressful thing in the world. It would be great, for me at least, to go from positive test and fast forward to induction. ;)

I am glad to hear all is fine!

I had with my first pregnancy, they could not find the heartbeat when I was 8 weeks, so I had to schedule an u/s. It was a very small town, and I had to wait a week. I have a very tipped uterus, which makes it harder for the hearbeat to show up by doppler when it should. I had my first u/s the day I graduated from college. I did not know what to expect. I read in a pregnancy book at the mall that if you have a tipped uterus and the doctor does not find the hearbeat by 8 weeks, then the embryo died. Fortunatley this was not the case!

With Aiden, I had my big u/s at 20 weeks, they could not find the stomach, or kidnyes. I had to go back at 24 weeks!!!!! All they told me is, don't worry you can abort up to 24 weeks!!!! Fortunatley, again, all was fine. They assured me that if there were not kidneys then there would be no amniotic fluid........and that stomachs are sometimes hard to find becuase they have to have swallowed fluid for it to show up. Anyway, it was awful.

I'm sure you're relieved. It always helps when you have an educated tech (. . .and working machines) who is friendly and explains the whole process to you and what your looking at.
