Very tired -- where's this burst of energy?
Re : Very tired -- where's this burst of energy?
I recall no such thing before I went into labor with dd. Granted, it's been a long time, so I guess the best I can say is: if I did have a burst of energy, it wasn't big enough to be memorable!

Amy,
The morning of my delivery with Tommy, I totally cleaned out the fridge. I took everyhting out, sanitized, ect. I'll know what to look for with the next one :)

Get the broom out and sweep...or at least that was the old wives tale I've heard. Soemthing about the motion ofthe hips can induce labor. Or spicey food, or castor oil....or all the other silly things that some people swear by!! And I hear you on the induction process...NO FUN!
Re : Very tired -- where's this burst of energy?
I just hope this doesn't mean I won't go into labor on my own. The induction process is NOT fun. And I don't want to go overdue and risk my BP going up.

No experience with that, but congratulations! You will be holding your little one really soon!

Ya - my energy has dwindled significantly. I'd say that I did a lot more nesting prior to 36 weeks - and since then, I feel like I get more and more tired and awkward every day. Glad I got some stuff done before hand because it sure ain't happening now!

No labor for me and no burst of energy either [:)]! Congratulations on a FULL termer - woohoo!
Re : Very tired -- where's this burst of energy?
I think I know a few moms who didn't get the big nesting burst of energy. I hope you don't have to wait for your little one for too much longer.

Amy,
Congrats on making it to full term! WOOHOO!!!
I knew a mom who was VERY TIRED her last 3 weeks of pregnancy so I think it can be very normal. She had to be induced at 41 weeks because she just wasnt' dilated.
I hope that helps you out and can't wait to here the arrival of your little one!

OK, I always hear about the "nesting" urge and the burst of energy you're supposed to get when you are getting close to going into labor. I still have a week to go, but I am getting more and more fatigued every day. Has anyone else who went into labor on their own not gotten the energy burst? Just curious.
