I also live closeby the UW and went there for my cardiac output. I would love the company[:D] I can even come get you at the airport and take you to your appt[:D] I have free time and only one baby to tote with us[:D]. Does southwest airlines fly up there? they are having some great deals right now with 14day advance fare, like 49-79 bucks each way. private email me if you need any help. and yes the weather is just gorgeous right now!! its in the low 70's up here and sunny skies[:D] I'd love to help in any way[:D]

I called the OB's office and asked if there was a reason why I couldn't talk to the OB myself. LOL I now have an appointment for 9:30am on Monday (2 weeks after the onset of this stuff). Also asked why they were referring me to a dr that said he didn't know anything about this stuff...LOL They still said she was going to talk to that doctor and call a peri about whether I should be on meds. How could she give the peri any idea about what is going on without having my pulses and Bp's or symptoms? ugh. I hope the appointment goes well. I honestly don't know what I'll do otherwise. UW made it clear my dr would need to be on board.

The nagging, low-grade headaches are getting to me more the past couple days, as well as the weird feelings the pulse causes. Somewhere between lightheadedness and exhaustion. I'm off unisom and still totally worn out. I have yet to take my pulse when feeling "off." I can imagine it is only higher than my resting pulse and would freak me out more. I don't know if that is denial or since they are already too high and not being treated? Aint life grand? LOL

Man,
I know how you feel about not being abole to get past those triage nurses. I went through a simialr ordeal when I was sick a few weeks ago, I then got sneaky about it.
I waited till after hours and called the pager of the on-call Doc.
I know it wasn't an emergency, But I felt like I was being ignored, and need immediate help.
Once I got through to him, he called in a RX that I needed and the whole conversation took about 5 minutes. Why couldn't they give me those 5 minutes earlier???
I understand the job of the triage nurses, to weed through the pateints, BUT I am a high risk patient at a specialists office, and I required the attention of a Dr.

I hate that the squeaky wheel gets the grease, sometimes we don't have the energy.
Plus, this type of aggrivation must be avoided by those of us inclined toward high BP'S!

Anyhow, i am glad that you are getting in tommorrow am.
I'll be thinking of you.
