can it really last?

I went for my 29 week visit today.
It went very well.
120/66.(unbelievable!!!)
Lost another lb.
And the ultrasound results were still within the 50th percentile for GA, and I was assured not to worry.

Thankfully he is satisfied with my 4x a day monitoring of my own blood sugar, much better option than the 4 hour test I must say!
I do another US in 3 weeks. then every 4 thereafter(God willing- 2 more!
Down deep I feel that the weightloss and the fact that I quit my hated job last Sept...shortly before I got preg...has helped.
But the logical part of my brain tell me different.

I have been awakening with minor swelling around the eye of the side on which I last slept. Any swelling tends to freak me out.

I swear ladies, I am not gloating- I am so overjoyed that things are going so well.
I just must admit a part of me is waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I go back next Wed. to meet the new Dr. in the practice-well new to me[;)].

Will keep ya posted.

Jennifer,
I know exactly what you mean -- I feel like I'm always on guard for something bad to happen (I constantly check my rings to make sure I can get them on an off if I'm starting to swell!) It's sooo hard not to be paranoid! I'm keeping you and all of the other mommies -to -be in my prayers. Lets hope we can hang in there a few more months!!

Hi, Jennifer, I'm so happy for you that things are going so well!!! But I know EXACTLY how you feel about waiting for the shoe to drop. After this pregnancy starting out so tough, and after all that happened with my first son, even a pretty smooth second pregnancy and birth don't make me have any confidence that this time is going to stay easy. I almost don't like people saying how good I look now, as I don't want to "jinx" things. Every time I take my BP, I am sure it's going to be high again. I have a US on Monday and I am VERY nervous about it, even though the amnio was fine and all signs look good!

I will be thinking of you and hoping things just keep getting better for you!

Yay Jennifer!!! What a great bp reading you had, and at 29 weeks!!!! I am so happy that things are going so well!! I can imagine about waiting for the other shoe to drop though[}:)]. My husband says I'll be the queen of "yes but" when I talk to my OB...

We will do our best to keep you optimistic here![8D][8D]

Well Jennifer....this is great news!! I totally understand were you are coming from....I was the same way with Ben. Just waiting to see the nurses eyes buldge a bit before revealing my high bp..but it never happend!!!! I hope (in this case anyway[;)]) you follow in my footsteps!!!

I thought I was the only one that twisted my ring a thousand times a day! I even got lab results this week (all normal) but here I am thinking "what if she forgot to check the date and it was the old report" How paranoid is that? I am glad I am not alone! Hang in there.

Wow....I was repeating your words at 29 weeks, Jennifer! I too slid my ring off and on a million times a day! lol Being educated in PE has helped me soooo much! I knew what to watch for and I was a bit paranoid, but in the end I am convinced that baby Adrianna is here because I was educated! Keep up the good work growin' that babe! You can do it!! Keep a positive outlook on the 'prize'! I sware, I was my biggest sceptic. I was convinced that I was headed for the worst from week 8. LOL
