how far apart are your babies???

Postby bhargavidd » Tue Apr 20, 2004 06:25 pm

hi, everyone!

my daughter, karuna, was born at 26 weeks due to severe pre-e and was in the nicu for almost 4 months. she is now home, and i think my hubby and i did something we shouldn't have. (i blame it all on being too stressed out for 4 months to do anything!) karuna is a little over 4 months old. how far apart are your babies (even if you're pg now)??

I can chime in here as my boys are close in age. Sam and Ben are 16 months apart. I got preggers with Ben when Sam was 7 mo.'s I had pre-e with Sam and not Ben. Are you preggers or do you think you might be?

Sam 6-29-00 36weeks P.E.

My kids will be 17 months apart assuming I carry this one to 39 weeks + LOL So, we're probably looking at 16 months apart considering my OB said she'd probably induce early because of baby size if there were no other problems requiring earlier action. LOL

I had PIH and Oligo with my first and am borderline/PIH with this one. So far I have good days and bad days bp-wise and no bedrest yet!

Oops!

My last is a little "Oops baby". I was nursing and on the pill but I now have two daughters a little less than 20 months apart. I know a few women who have "Irish twins", two singletons born within 12 months and both full term LOL! Better still, you want to put a shout out to Jessica (Simivlyhills) who just posted to the topic below this one the about how her pregnancy is going. If I remember right, she got pregnant again 5 months after her baby was born pretty early. I think at 27 weeks Jump in here Jessica!! How do you feel about having Tony and this baby so close together?

Are you pregnant again? How do you feel about that? Lots of us have had successful pregnancies after preeclampsia but not ones where we weren't scared out of our minds if we let ourselves think about what might happen. How is Karuna doing? Have you had her home for long?
I should just be quiet now and let you fill us in when you want to.

thanks for all of the answers!!! there is a very good chance that i am pg again. how do i feel about that? HAPPY! nervous. scared. excited! i'm sure you all know what i mean. :) in one way, i would have preferred to wait a bit. but, in another way, i am excited about possibly having two kids close in age. my dh and i definitely want kids... it's the pre-e that scares me. i guess it's out of my hands, though. i'll definitely be monitored closely! (my ob is gonna kill me though!) karuna has been home for almost 3 weeks. my biggest fear is having another baby go through what she has been through. if i am pg, i hope to make it to at least 34 weeks! oh yeah, if this possible baby is ft, then they will only be 13 months apart! Mine will be 17 months apart if I last until 38 weeks. And both were planned. I was told the youner I was when I had them, the lesser the effects of pre-e would be. So we wasted no time...
