The reason the tech probably asked you if you were on fertility drugs was because a lot of women who are on them(Clomid) get cysts. I have PCOS too and was on Clomid with my first. Hooray to get pregnant on your own, PCOS can be a problem with that and I'm glad it wasn't for you!:)

Glad baby looked great and heartbeat was great too, woo hoo!!

My 1st Appointment

Postby crystalw » Fri Aug 22, 2008 05:06 pm

Went for my 1st appointment yesterday at the Peri. It wasn't actually a "real" appointment. Mainly just to get the u/s and then I will see him again in 2-3 weeks for a full physcial. They didn't even weigh me or do BP.

Baby looked good. Heartbeat was 126. I have a large ovarian cyst but Dr. said its nothing to worry about. The u/s tech asked me if I used fertility drugs to get pregnant and I said "no, there is only one baby right?" LOL She scared me a little. I have been diagnosed with PCOS but we didn't use anything to get pregnant.

Dr. M said that my placenta with Addison was normal and that we could still do Lovenox or Heparin if I wanted. But he said that it doesn't really seem like we would need it. I think for me the benefits do not out weigh the risks. Because I do not have any clotting issues and my placenta was normal. He said we would talk about it in depth at my next appointment.
