33 weeks, passing the mark?

Postby pugmommy7 » Wed May 05, 2004 07:21 pm

I went to my 33 wk appt today.
It went really well.(I delivered Bella at 33 5/7's)
My bp is up a bit,138/78. No one seemed to mind.
The doc said that the level II that I had on Sat. looked beautiful and that the baby is 4 pounds!!!
She is already head down, and will likely stay that way.
(Mondays AFI/NST looked good as well.)
Wow! That is like a giant to me. Bella was 4.8 when she came home, 3 weeks after she was born at 3 pounds!!

I am feeling things that I have never felt before, braxton hicks, major movement, it is amazing.
I feel like a first time Mom in a lotta ways.
I have a NST tommorrow at 11.

It is reassuring to have these frequent tests, even if time consuming.

No one has mentioned a strep b test yet.
I never made it far enough with Bella.
Is that pretty normal/routine?? or what?

Maybe my OB will bring it up next thurs.(my 34 week appt.,AAAAAH!)

hands a little swollen, feet and face are normal.
hanging in...
Love, Jennifer

So glad that things are going well. I know that the tests can be a pain, but it feels so good to know that the baby is doing well. The nurses at the hospital tried to cancel one of my NST's because baby was doing so well, but I wanted to keep it just to be on the safe side. The group B test is taken from 35 - 37 weeks according to my book - even though I had it last time and delivered early due to pre-e my OB will do it at that time this time as well. Take care.

Jennifer,

So glad you had a good appointment! That's so awesome that you're getting to experience things that you never did in your previous pregnancy.

Awesome news Jennifer!! You are doing so great!! Just go ahead and ask your doc when she plans on doing the strep B...it's just a swab..doesn't take long at all.

Glad your doing so good!! My OB always does the group B at 36 weeks. With my first they went ahead and it at 34 b/c my BP was going up and up and up. Yet even though it was neg, they went ahead and gave the antibiotics during delivery with him at 35.4 weeks. They told me why but honestly I cant remember why. Somthing about just being cautious.

Congratulations on 33 weeks! That is as far as I made it in my pregnancy. I dream of birthing classes and waddling around ( I only waddled for about a week!) You only have a few more weeks to go![:)]

Well the NST went great . I was in and out in no time.
B/p was up at first, you know it is bad when that automatic hospital cuff starts re-inflating on it's own.
it was 156/87.
then 130-something over 78, on left side, then once before I left I asked her to take it again on my l/s(I was very relaxed), and it was 133/77.
I said I'd take that one. :)
The nurse said that the baby's hiccups made for some great accelerations and she traced beautifully.
Last time When they would do one, Bella would get lost, this one stays put. I can feel that she is a lot bigger.

Now I just want to kick back and enjoy the remainder and be a big ol' preggo.
~sigh~

Lotsa love,
J
