I got pregnant 8 months after my PE but had no PE the 2nd time. :) Wishing that for you too.

here is an update. Spoke with my OB today he has referred me to a peri. He also states that, although I do have a 15-25% chance of recurrence, it is unrelated to short interval between pregnancies. So we will see what happens next!!

Congrats! I don't have experience with pgs that close together...but I agree that getting in to your doc to get a game plan will probably help you to relax and enjoy your pregnancy!

Thank you for the input. I think this site may help me make it through the worrying of the next several months. I am hoping this one will go much better. I never had bp issues with my 2nd and third pregnancies. With my twins I did not have any BP problems until the day I was induced with a BP spike at 33+ weeks. But I have to mention that I was so young then- freshman in college, very blissfully ignorant. So there may have more going one than I realized. Also, my last pregnancy is with a new partner. I have read that that could have contributed to me developing preeclampsia again?

I got pg 9 months after my PE pregnancy. While I had some funky pressures at the end (it looks like I'm trending toward chronic hypertension), I made it to 41w with no hypertensive diagnosis and delivered a 9lb, 8oz baby girl! I have read some research to suggest that the "remodeling" of the uterine vasculaclature that occurs during pregnancy helps subsequent, closer pregnancies fare better. However, looks like you've had several hypertensive pregnancies...have you been tested for any underlying conditions?

Congrats on your pregnancy! I got pregnant with twins 4 months after having my first daughter, I did not have PE with her but other serious commplications :( I did better in the twin pregnancy than I had with my singletons, it took us all by surprise but we made it much further. So again, congrats on your pregnancy!

hi there I am new to this forum. I am a mother of six. The newest was born on 8/12/08. I was induced for PE which was diagnosed at 36 weeks. I found out last week ( 1 week after DH vasectomy) that I am pregnant again and I am very concerned. Does anyone have experience with getting pregnant so quickly after PE?
