palpatations...

Postby pugmommy7 » Sun May 23, 2004 06:59 pm

I have been experiencing a flushed high pressure feeling accompanied by major fluttering in my chest.
It lasts a few minutes at a time.
Is that palpatation?
I am mentioning it tommorrow @ my afi, when I'll see the Doc.
Just wanted to pick yer brains.

Do you happen to know if you have a murmur? I have a mild case of mitral valve prolapse, and every so often I get a fluttering sensation.

I am sure that your doctor will be able to give you some insight.

To me it felt like my heart was beating extra fast for a few beats - it was like fluttering.

thanks,
The last ekg I had was perfectly normal. It was in response to chest pains last preg.
I just feel like my heart gets too "full" and my pulse throbs, like when you drink a huge glass of ice water way to fast and in huge gulps.kwim??

J...

Usually if it feels like a flutter then it is flutters. I would call the doctor to advise them and also to keep an eye on it. Ask about an EKG just to make sure your heart ryth is back on the rigth track....

thanks, I will, I leave in 1/2 hour.
(it could be digestive or anxiety related too- it seems to be too much in center of my chest, not my heart per se.
(DH and I were seriously discussing it last night.)

Thanks, and thanks for not thinking I am a psyco;)
