Thank you, girls. My MFM's office was able to take out the stupid picc line that the OB insisted I get, although I protested getting it. She made it sound like it was life or death. Anyway, now it is infected so I get to go to the ER today. Just another reason to never go back to that woman!
Suzanne, when Randall is here, you really need to report this OB's behavior to someone, whether it be your insurer, the state board, whatever. No one should have to go through what you just did at her hands. I am SOOO sorry that you had to go through all that at such a stressful time, but also so happy for you that you have this great MFM to see Randall into "earthside".
That's great news Suzanne. If the baby is still growing, but blood flow is becoming resistant, does this mean the baby is still getting enough oxygen? I know at your gestation, it's always that delicate balancing act between is baby better out than in? I am sure your MFM is on top of this balancing act. Hugs & prayers - here's to 31 weeks tomorrow - hurray!
I went to my appointment and didn't get out until almost 8pm! He is a busy man, but very thorough with each patient. He said my bp is better and I have only a Trace amount of protein - yay! He said the blood flow to the cord (I think) is becoming resistant, but so far baby is still growing. He said I get to stay pregnant for at least another week. He said if things continue going well, then we can go to 37 weeks, but I am afraid with the blood flow issue that it won't happen, especially with my history of IUGR. But I will be 31 weeks tomorrow, and baby won't come for at least another week, so that is GREAT! Oh, and I got to go home on complete bedrest, so I was thrilled not to be readmitted to the hospital :)
what the * kind of OB is that???? i have never heard anything so rude, scary and downright dangerous. Glad you have you MFM now, and a weekend pass. i hope all goes well for you and the wee one.
