Timing of the 2nd Tri Dip?
Re : Timing of the 2nd Tri Dip?
Thanks all! I need to get my home monitor in working order. I didn't even think about normal variation, but yeah, it could be.

Your numbers look to me like they could be normal variation. Can you take your BP a couple of times a week after sitting down for a few minutes and see how it looks over time?

I would just keep an eye on it and take your BP at home...Typically if your BP starts rising around 20 weeks they usually label you as cronic or unmasked like you said! Keep us all updated!
Re : Timing of the 2nd Tri Dip?
Thanks Laura! I wasn't diagnostic (quite), so I didn't get a chronic label. But both my OB and PCP are pretty sure I'm an "unmasking" gal, that chronic HTN is a "when", not an "if" for me.
My OB did make a funny face about the rise during the 2nd tri. I was just curious to see what others may have thought.

You can always ask your doc about your rise. It seems to me that you would fall under the category of Cronic hypertension, if it took almost a year? Although I could be wrong.
Are you taking your BP's at home?

Timing of the 2nd Tri Dip?
I'm currently 19w with #3. I had severe pre-e and pp htn with DD1, diagnostic pressures at 40+w with DD2. My BP stayed elevated for me (130s/80-90) until DD2 was nearly a year old.
This time, my BPs seem to be trending oddly:
6w = 128/78
14w = 106/62
18w = 118/72
I know they are low, but I'm concerned about the rise from 14w-18w. Shouldn't I still be in the "dip" at this point? Is the jump of 10pts in diastolic during the 2nd tri a barometer of things to come?
