I had a missed miscarriage where the baby just would not come away either. I don't know why that happens. I did not want surgery so I opted for drugs - but I think they are willing to give drugs at later gestations in the UK than US, so not sure if that is an option for you but you could ask?

The drug induced miscarriage wasn't pleasant but it did work after a while and saved me from having surgery.

Well I have not bled at all since Tuesday morning so my doctor said that I need to have a D & C tomorrow afternoon. I just don't understand why my body is not getting rid of the baby on its own. They think it died four weeks ago. I really don't want to have surgery but I can't stand the thought of having a dead baby inside of me either. I don't get it. We knew that is would be a high risk pregnancy anyway but only because of PE/Hellp. But now if I ever get pregnant again this will just be one more worry on my list. I don't think I am ever going to be aloud to enjoy another pregnancy. Just bitter right now.

Amber, I am so sorry for your loss. I had a mc four yrs agao and a stillbirth 8weeks ago. it makes you angry and hopeless. You look and see how easy it is for some, and so hard for others. It cannot be explained why some people are so fortunate when it comes to having babies. Its bad enough that ttc can be so difficult, but once you become pregnant you should not have to face even more diificulities. The disappointments are too much.you are in my thoughts. Hope lives within.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had a mc myself before I got pregnant with Henry. Take care of yourself.

so sorry- I understand how you feel. I had 2 miscarriages before my daughter then 2 after her birth. The first one after her birth was in 2nd trimester when I thought I was safe, so I know how that feels. After last miscarriage I thought I was probably done with trying but surprise 23 weeks pregnant now. Nothing takes away the pain of those losses but you will start to feel better. This time I started LDA not just for HELLP reasons but also for miscarriage reasons and who knows for sure if it helped, but it might be something to consider too if you were not already taking it.

You're in my thoughts and prayers today.
