Hi,

Did you have PE/hellp/eclampcia with your last pregnancy?
Yes, Hellp and IUGR

Did you have a severe case and of what?
Class II Hellp, not the worst but not a mild one

At what week did your symptom's begin?
My bp started creeping at 27 weeks, my daughter was probably iugr since 25 weeks

At what week in your pregnancy did you have to deliver?
32 +3 due to fetal distress and full bloom hellp

How long after your last pregnancy did you get pregnant?
16 months

Did you get preeclampsia/hellp/eclampsia again?
I am now 36 weeks along, doing fine but bp and some lab values are woarsening altough still in the normal range

If you have not delivered yet have you been diagnosed with any condition or bp problems?
I have borderline lupus anticoagulant, I am not chronic. I am taking LDA (stopped at 33 weeks) and Clexane 4000 (lovenox) - still going on

How far are you along and how weeks past your last pregnancy have you made it without any signs of getting the disorder again?
I had a very good pregnancy, feeling healthy and "efficient". My c-section is on February the 28th (new baby is also breech)

Did you have PE/hellp/eclampcia with your last pregnancy?
PE / HELLP in 1st pregnancy.

Did you have a severe case and of what?
Yes, very severe, BP 220/110, massive proteinuria, 5 beats of clonus and severe hyperreflexia, class I HELLP, platelets around 20k etc, unexpected stillbirth (no placental abruption)

At what week did your symptom's begin?
25 weeks, diagnosed and admitted at 25+5 (already very severe).

At what week in your pregnancy did you have to deliver?
26+0 due to stillbirth

How long after your last pregnancy did you get pregnant?
11 months (two miscarriages in between)

Did you get preeclampsia/hellp/eclampsia again?
No.

I delivered at 38+2 due to transverse lie and maternal anxiety. No signs of PE, BP remained low throughout. Totally different pregnancy!

feel free to add any ?
After my first pregnancy I was diagnosed with mild kidney disease [but no hypertension]. Nowhere near enough to cause the very severe and very early HELLP I had according to my specialists.
May 2009 - Alice stillborn at 26 weeks due to severe PE and HELLP post-partum

2 early miscarriages

And then 4th pregnancy baby girl due 29th December 2010! Born safely after totally normal pregnancy on 17th December.

With my first my symptoms started at 24 weeks and by 32 weeks I was a mess, by 34 weeks I was in and out of the hospital with overnight stays and having massssive URQ pain, finally delivered 37 weeks with severe preeclampsia and hellp syndrome by incompetent doctors who left me pregnant waaaaaaay too long and who also released me without checking my labs and pressure and I was ambulanced back to the hosptial going into liver failure with hellp and bp in the 180's/115 range. Maybe it was a mixed blesing, because I know if I was seen then by the MFM's at a different hospital that sees me now, my baby would have been born quite premature and she was my only one who didn't need NICU. The doctors that handled my first pregnancy are a very small hospital and I had no idea I was * so sick.* I thought I was pregnant and that must be what you feel like when you're pregnant. I always asked what protein meant when they'd dip mine and the nurse would tell the doc whatever it was and all they said is " we just need to watch out". I never knew what they were watching for.

Second pregnancy 15 months later I did develop PE again, not as severe and no Hellp. Symptoms started somewhere around 30 weekish 34weekish started the observational stays in the hospital and delivered at 36 weeks due to PE. Baby spent 10 days in Nicu. I recovered almost immeadiately after birth and was my best recovery and easiest pregnancy.

Third pregnancy was about 17 months later and by far the wooooooorrrrrssssssst pregnancy in most ways. Symptoms started right about half way through, had a major hypertensive crisis, started on bp meds, ended up on a lot of bp meds, crazy neuro symtpoms and off the charts headache, no hellp, delivered at 37 weeks to the day, baby spent 11 days in Nicu and officially diagnosed with PE pp with kinda a weird diagnosis. My protein count never went about 250 third time around. It was a craaaazzzzy ride of a pregnancy and delivery and PP period. Can't really even explain it.

No underlying condition diagnosed though I seem to have *something* going on. Thyroid whacked out, chronic hypertension now and on 2 bp meds, some *off* bloodwork but nothing definitive. Was never chronic before, but third time was a charm and after that pregnancy, I feel like my body aged about 30 years :0(

Currently pregnant again after only 7 months, unplanned, very nervous. Never started out a pregnancy with high blood pressure and on two meds already.........we will see what happens. Due end of August.

Did you have PE/hellp/eclampcia with your last pregnancy?
HELLP

Did you have a severe case and of what?
Class I HELLP- my platelet count fell to 30,000

At what week did your symptom's begin?
didn't realize it at the time- but probably around week 32 1/2 to week 33- I had very little symptoms. BP was not high, but started having pains in right side of back and just did not feel good (but thought it was more of a cold than anything). Then night before delivering I had difficulty going to the restroom but I had appointment the following morning scheduled. By time I got to doctor my urine was rust colored and we delivered the same day.

At what week in your pregnancy did you have to deliver?
34 1/2 weeks - had to deliver because of the HELLP issues and my daughter started showing signs of distress. Her heart started racing in utero.

How long after your last pregnancy did you get pregnant?
2 years and 1 month

Did you get preeclampsia/hellp/eclampsia again?
So far no 33 1/2 weeks today

If you have not delivered yet have you been diagnosed with any condition or bp problems?
No diagnoses/problems so far. But my BP has started creeping up from 90-110/ 50s-60s to 110-120s/60-70s- which is high for me outside of pregnancy. I have also noticed I feel more like I did right before having my daughter- so I am cautious right now. Hoping just to make it to 36 weeks.

How far are you along and how weeks past your last pregnancy have you made it without any signs of getting the disorder again?
33 1/2 weeks now- which makes me nervous because right around same time I started showing signs.
Mom to Olivia 4/4/2008 born at 34 1/2 weeks due to class I HELLP
Declan born 1/4/2011- no HELLP or PE- YEAH

Did you have PE/hellp/eclampcia with your last pregnancy?
I had HELLP.

Did you have a severe case and of what?
I guess HELLP is considered severe, but it was a still a mild form a HELLP when I delivered.

At what week did your symptom's begin?
I think I began feeling the "heartburn" on and off at 29 weeks

At what week in your pregnancy did you have to deliver?
31 weeks 2 days

How long after your last pregnancy did you get pregnant?
14 months

Did you get preeclampsia/hellp/eclampsia again?
No

If you have not delivered yet have you been diagnosed with any condition or bp problems?
I have delivered, but was induced because my BP's were creeping up a bit. The highest I saw at the MD's office was 138/92 (156 once on a grocery store machine).

How far are you along and how weeks past your last pregnancy have you made it without any signs of getting the disorder again?
I made it to 39 weeks 1 day and had those higher BP's for about 10 days before I delivered.
Amanda, mom to:
Bennett, born 11/24/08 at 31 weeks 2 days due to HELLP. 3 lbs. 7 oz. 16 inches
Vivian, born 10/28/10 at 39 weeks 1 day. Induced due to mildly creeping BP's. 7 lbs. 10oz. 20 inches.
