First chink in the armor... maybe

Well, we are still pregnant for now. My AFI was a 7 today, and that's after a week of rest and drinking LOTS of water. If it goes to a 5, baby sister is getting evicted.

Other than that, we're doing really well. BP 118/64, she's really active, practicing breathing, doppler is good, growth slightly lower but at the 35th percentile overall. They think she's 5 lbs 12 oz. We'll be 36 weeks Saturday.

By the way, we did the group B strep test today. About how long does it take to get those results back? I forgot to ask. Also forgot to ask about when to quit baby asprin... so I'll call back tomorrow. Can anyone tell me when they quit lda?

I guess I stopped taking it around 36 weeks because I was basically in the exact same AFI boat as you. I hope that little girl can hold out a few more weeks. I know that would make you and your hubby happier, but thankfully she's pretty developed at this point. I am thinking and praying for you. <3

Aww, was that lower, better or the same as last week? I'm crossin' crossables lil' sis can hang in there for another week at least... though already close to 6lbs sounds very nice and healthy to me. When is the next check.

I don't remember how long it took... I think probably an average day or two turn around.

5 lb 12 oz sounds great! 36 weeks is so close to full term. I really hope you can hold out another week, but if you have to evict baby sister now I think you will be just fine. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

YEAH BABY! 36 WEEKS AND 1 DAY!

MomTimesThree - I think that AFI was about the same as last week. It's not great, but at least it's hanging in there at the very low end of normal. My next ultrasound is supposed to be Thursday. I'll talk to the doctor tomorrow and make sure we're on the same game plan.

I've been really paying attention to kick counts, but that's been pretty easy since she's kicking SO HARD! I'm tall, but so is she (femurs are 75th percentile), and she has no trouble reaching my ribs. I never went through this before, the whole 3rd trimester experience. I look at Daniel's going home pictures when he was 4 lb 4 oz, and I can't believe I'm carrying a baby even bigger than that!

My baby shower is tonight. Another first... being pregnant at my baby shower.

I'll keep crossables crossed that things hold steady at 7 or above for at least the next week.

How was the baby shower? How cool to have one pregnant!

The baby shower was incredible. Wall to wall people filling the fellowship hall at our church. My husband gave a really heartfelt speech about how God worked a miracle once for Daniel to be here, and he felt like we've been given another one. Everyone there has lifted us up in prayer and we told them that that was worth more than any gift they could have sent.

They put this Miss America-like sash around my belly that said PRINCESS, and the next day Daniel asked me to put it back on. I threw it over my shoulder, but he jerked it down on my belly and said "no mommy, it goes this way." HA HA! He's so excited about being a big brother. I'm hoping that sticks once she's here.

Oh my goodness! I am so excited for you guys! sounds like your son will be a good big brother, how sweet of him!
