Here we go again!

I just found out I am pregnant with #2. I'm due 9/2/12. This pregnancyw as COMPLETELY unexpected but a blessing nonetheless. I'm VERY nervous but optimistic about making it to full term pre-e free. I'm scheduling an appt with the MFM to discuss Lovenox injections and such.

Currently I'm taking:
Labetolol 200mg twice daily
Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc, Vitamin D
Prenatal with Folate
HCTZ for now because I was on it before
Baby aspirin
Progesterone gel vaginally at night

Should I be doing anything else? What diet should I be following? What do you all think of the Brewer's Diet? What does that consist of? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks! :)

Congrats! I know that labetalol is safe during pregnancy but I would check with your OB on whether they want you to continue with the HCTZ. Also, if you do a search on here you'll see that the the diet you mention has been heavily discussed. Unfortunately there is no diet or magic pill that can prevent PE. We ALL wish there was!! Here's a few links with a lot of useful information about that diet.

Thanks so much for responding!
I figured there wasn't much evidence to the Brewer's diet working anyway. Oh well.
As far as the HCTZ, I've spoken with two MFM's. One said the HCTZ was fine in pregnancy and the other said that it wasn't "recommended" because of fluid levels and such. I'm just staying on it until I talk to them.
I sure wish I had a crystal ball to see how things are going to turn out! I know we all do! :)

I agree with Trish. Wouldn't it be nice if it were as simple as adhering to a meal plan?
Congratulations on your pregnancy!
