this time no PE
Hi everyone,
many hugs from the other side of the world to all of you. my little baby boy managed to make it to full term, with no complications. I delivered on June 3rd via c-section at 38 weeks.
although i was anxious, worried throughout the pregnancy i tried to enjoy it fully...keeping my hopes that this time we would have our baby. my pressure was great throughout, it went up a little the last week but i was not overly concerned at that point. i was on baby aspirin from prior to getting pregnant until 2 weeks before c-section.
it was the most overwhelming moment to see Luka Santiago "jump" out of my abdomen and scream at the top of his lungs.i cried so much the anesthesiologist asked me if i was ok...it was the ugly cries of all type of emotions put together, making me shake uncontrollably on the operating table.
he was 21 inches and just over 8 pounds. he looks a lot like our little leilani, the nose, mouth and eyes...although she was so tiny at her birth.
i will never know the "why's" of my preeclampsia at first pregnancy, but i am thankful i managed to steer clear this time.
this forum has been a major support, and i hope everyone delivers their babies safely and PE free.
